1-The study of society and the people in it

2- Sociology is a much broader social science that focuses on both the big and little everyday things.

3- The sociological perspective is finding the general In the particular, and the strange in the familiar.

4- Sociology can help us to understand the society we live in today, and improve that society.

5- During the industrial revolution, sociologists wanted to understand why society was changing in the way it was and why it took so long to change in this way.

1- the scientific study of society and human behavior

2-  looks for different patterns in different people and places in all aspects of life and society.

3- seeing the general in the particular- understands social behavior by placing it in a wider social context. How one particular decision fits into a larger group as a whole.

   - seeing the strange in the familiar- approach the everyday world as if you are seeing it for the first time, and question every little detail.

4- it can look at social location to help predict your decisions, it can look at marginalization to understand their actions, it can look at power and inequality to help create a more equal society. It can also help us to create good public policy.

5- when sociologists would see a problem with the way society was working, they would want to understand why it is working that way so that they could not only change it but also prevent the same behavior from happening again.  It also wanted to help to understand scientific changes in society interaction. With a lot of societal change, we want to understand it to be able to predict it.
