Bill got out of bed one fall morning and headed for the shower. When he got out he, noticed that there was water all over the mirror. Explain to Saundra why the mirror was wet. Where did the water come from? How did it get there?

The water from the shower turned into steam, or water vapor. It turned turned into

steam because it became hot and evaporated. The air reached its dew point and

it became saturated. Dew point is when the air holds as much water

vapor as possible (saturated). The water vapor then condensed onto the

mirror and turned to liquid. The water vapor turns from a gas back into a liquid

because it cooled off.
