First the air is heated by an object with heat. The object that heated the air in our
experiment was the candle. The heated air rose because hot air is less dense than
cold air. The heated air rises until it is at the point that it is so far away is from the
candle that the hot air gains density and it falls back down. The air is attracted to the
candle to get reheated. This cycle repeats itself many times.
